Eljonna Williams is a graduate student at the University of Michigan School of Social Work concentrating on social policy. She is a proud Wolverine, having obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Gender & Heath from the University of Michigan.
She has a passion for social change work and hopes to gain a more in-depth understanding of policy through this internship. Currently, her passions include racial equity issues around medical debt and access to quality care in communities of color.
As of right now, she will be working with the Washtenaw Health Initiative and their efforts for race equity work.
Her hobbies include traveling to other countries, and so far, she has had the pleasure of visiting over seven countries. Before she turns 30 years old, she has a goal is to visit every continent, and as of today, she is only missing Asia and Australia due to Covid-19.
