Chardae Burton is a Legislative Analyst for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). In conjunction with MDHHS liaisons, Burton works with members and staff of the Michigan Senate, Michigan House of Representatives, the Office of Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Department experts and key stakeholders on health and human services-related policy and constituent issues.

This position afforded the opportunity to work closely with students and families to break down barriers preventing them from achieving their highest level of potential; including the ability to sustain and access healthcare.
