Erin Dickenson serves as the Chief of Staff to State Senator Sylvia Santana, who chairs the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Human Services. She leads budget development efforts and works with local partners to advance policy initiatives supporting families, older adults, criminal justice reform, and housing stability. She played a key role in securing passage of Public Act 173 of 2023.
Before her work in the legislature, Dickenson served as a Government Affairs Advisor with the Law Office of Reid Felsing, focusing on legislative strategy and Michigan’s campaign finance landscape. Her combined experience in legal analysis, advocacy, and state appropriations provides her with a broad perspective on policymaking in Michigan.
She earned her Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Saginaw Valley State University.
