Isabella Pagogna is a Food is Medicine advocate working to bridge the gap between healthcare and food access. As Produce Prescription Director with the Michigan Farmers Market Association, she manages the Michigan Produce Prescription Coalitions, supporting technical assistance, resource development, and advocacy efforts for Produce Prescription programming in Michigan. Isabella is currently supporting capacity-building efforts to advance Food is Medicine access through the Michigan Medicaid In Lieu of Services initiative, with a personal focus on uplifting Produce Prescriptions, community-based organizations, and local food procurement.
Her work also includes providing technical assistance for Produce Prescription programs nationwide for the Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Program’s Training, Technical Assistance, Evaluation, and Information Center (GusNIP NTAE), known as the Nutrition Incentive Hub.
Isabella is a graduate of Michigan State University’s James Madison College, majoring in Social Relations & Policy with minors in Global Public Health, Epidemiology, and Health Promotion.
