Steven Gilbert is the Chief of Staff to Michigan State Senator Roger Victory. In this role, Steven serves as the top strategic advisor to the Senator and as an administrative leader, running a high performing team that works on a broad range of policy issues.
Prior to this position, Steven has held roles across state government, including as a member of the State Budget Office of Michigan, and in both the Michigan House of Representatives and Senate. Steven has also worked in the private sector as a member of the Public Policy team at Corewell Health, where he worked on policy issues at the state and federal level.
Steven is a member of the Walker City Commission, where he was first elected in 2017, representing Walker’s first ward, and serves on various boards and committees in West Michigan, including The Rapid’s board of directors.
