Thye Fischman
Government Relations Manager , Michigan Medicine
As the government relations manager at Michigan Medicine, Thye Fischman advances key healthcare initiatives and develops and implements strategies to communicate Michigan Medicine’s priorities to state and federal policymakers.
Prior to his role at Michigan Medicine, Fischman served as a legislative director in the Michigan House of Representatives, developing and negotiating on various topics, including healthcare policy and regulation, nonprofit appropriations funding, economic development, and child welfare policy. During his tenure in the executive office of the governor, Fischman championed diverse representation on gubernatorial-appointed boards and commissions, building strong relationships across the State.
Fischman is an alumnus of Western Michigan University (WMU) and actively serves on the WMU Alumni Association Board of Directors, shaping policies and representing WMU alumni. Additionally, as a citizen volunteer on the Michigan Foster Care Review Board, Fischman advocates for the well-being of children and families within the foster care system.
