Need:
To improve quality, cost efficiency, and long-term sustainability, accountable care organizations must stay current with federal policy changes in the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP). POM ACO seeks analytic and policy support to anticipate the effects of new Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) rules and to refine its strategic direction based on those insights.
CHRT’s role:
Over a five-month engagement, CHRT will review and analyze the 2026 Physician Fee Schedule proposed and final rules, summarize key changes affecting MSSP performance, and assess broader industry reactions. CHRT will meet regularly with POM ACO leadership to discuss findings and recommendations and will provide targeted support for comment-letter development and strategic planning.
