About CHRT

Jennifer Day is executive director of the U.S. Breastfeeding Committee in Washington, DC and founder and owner of Feed the Babes, LLC, a business that supports women during birth and beyond.

Prior to this role, Day served as manager of community building for the Michigan Breastfeeding Network. She is also a founding member of Southeast Michigan International Board-Certified Lactation Consultants of Color, former board director of the Detroit Midwifery School and the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE), and member of the Motivating Interdisciplinary Lactation Knowledge (MILK) Research Lab.

Day is an international board-certified lactation consultant, birth doula, and birth educator. She is a CHRT Health Policy Fellow (2024).
