
Julie Maslowsky

Julie Maslowsky is a developmental psychologist and population health scientist who studies adolescent health, with a focus on sexual and reproductive health including contraception and abortion. Her research integrates adolescent developmental science with population and reproductive health to inform developmentally appropriate policies and practices on adolescent sexual and reproductive health.
Maslowsky is an associate professor in the Schools of Nursing and Public Health at the University of Michigan and founder and director of Youth Reproductive Equity, a national research network focused on adolescent and young adult sexual and reproductive health.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in human development from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in social work and doctorate in developmental psychology from the University of Michigan.
