Kait’s education and experience are rooted in community education and preventive nutrition for improved health outcomes. Kait has worked for the Michigan WIC program, both at the state level and providing direct service to high-risk clients in Wayne County. At the Food Bank Council, Kait has managed a statewide nutrition education program and the SNAP Outreach program, efforts to connect individuals to resources in both the public and private sectors. Her work encompasses policy analysis and strategy- building grassroots campaigns and connecting with lawmakers to promote policies and systems change that improves the health and well-being of vulnerable populations.
Nutrition, functional medicine and advocacy are passions for Kait, and the guiding principles for her work and life. In her spare time, Kait loves to garden, knit, read and enjoy Michigan’s great outdoors.
