About CHRT

Laura Tonarelli is a case manager at the Children’s Special Health Care Services Department of the Detroit Health Department (DHD). Tonarelli advocates for families to assist with their health care needs, provides information about available programs and services, addresses their questions and concerns, and provides warm handoffs to service providers. 

Before joining the Detroit Health Department, Tonarelli was a residential nurse, caring for patients in Detroit emergency room and intensive care units. She also worked at the Wayne County Health Department as a case manager in children’s special health care services.
