About CHRT

Abigail Kowalczyk is a health policy intern at CHRT and a dual-degree master’s student at the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and School of Public Health concentrating on health management and policy. She has interests in health equity and state-level health policy, including public health emergency preparedness, climate change, increased health care access for rural communities, and value-based care models. 

Kowalczyk obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton in international studies, concentrating on economic development. After her undergraduate career, she worked in both public health and health care settings before returning to her hometown of Ann Arbor for her master’s program.
