About CHRT

Fatema Shafiq is a health policy intern at CHRT. Her project focus has been on the social determinants of health related to adults with disabilities, specifically nutrition, social isolation, and loneliness.

Fatema has conducted literature reviews, data analysis, and data visualization for her internship project. She has also assisted with research for CHRT’s nursing home project. 

Fatema is a second year master’s student in the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Her program focus is in health management and policy, and she hopes to continue her journey researching, evaluating, and designing health policy.
