State of Michigan Aging Needs Assessment
Michigan’s growing population of older adults requires coordinated policies and services that address their diverse needs and promote healthy aging. A statewide needs assessment will help MDHHS identify service gaps, prioritize investments, and shape the next State Plan on Aging to ensure that programs reflect the voices of older residents and caregivers.
CHRT is working with MDHHS to develop and implement the State of Michigan’s Aging Needs Assessment. The team is co-designing the project scope and methodologies, including interviews with key informants, surveys of older adults and caregivers, and community conversations across the state. CHRT will also create materials and tools to support data collection and analysis, and will engage with Area Agencies on Aging to promote participation and input.
