Synthesizing learnings for the Community routes: Advancing access to mental health care learning summit

Need:

Direct Relief provides grants to safety net community healthcare providers that create innovative approaches to address infectious disease in underserved communities and create greater health equity in these vulnerable populations. The organization’s annual Learning Summit is an opportunity to study the projects and organizations involved to determine how to improve.

CHRT’s role:

CHRT will 

  • Melissa Riba, research and evaluation director at CHRT, will attend the Learning Summit, take notes, gather recordings, and collect other materials as appropriate. 
  • CHRT will conduct qualitative analysis of Riba’s data as well as other relevant data available and synthesize results.
  • CHRT will develop, in partnership with Direct Relief, a presentation for the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC) conference.
  • A member of the CHRT team will attend the NAFC conference to assist with the panel presentation. This individual will be prepared to present and answer questions on successes, challenges, lessons learned, and strategies that emerged across sites as the grantees implemented their programs.
  • CHRT will develop, in partnership with Direct Relief, a brief to share learnings.
