Lessons from a community advisory board: Partnering to improve race and SOGI data collection in the community

The Center for Health and Research Transformation (CHRT) is working with community advisors to improve the quality of race/ethnicity and sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) data in Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

This lunchtime session will feature an overview of the issues related to race/ethnicity and SOGI data quality and CHRT’s ongoing work to address these issues in EMS data. This session will also include a discussion with community advisors Missy Fuentes Delgado and Sara Moughni on their role in improving how these data are collected and the importance of accurately capturing demographic data in the community.
