Need:

With funding from the Pfizer Foundation, Direct Relief runs a community health innovation award program for infectious disease control in underserved communities across the U.S. To improve the program and share best practices, Direct Relief wishes to identify the key strategies employed by grantees.

CHRT’s role:

CHRT will collaborate with Direct Relief staff members to monitor, track, and analyze the progress of grantees over a two-year period. Throughout the two-year evaluation, CHRT will:

  • Review grantee goals, outcome metrics, and grant reporting requirements
  • Attend grantee learning summits and meetings
  • Review quantitative and qualitative data from grantee reports on an ongoing basis
  • Develop and conduct grantee interviews 
  • Analyze and synthesize findings for a final learnings report and implementation guide
